Oh my good lord. Yes Luke, you are a god.
The only problem I can see is that there appears to be a plate right through the middle of the midget housing.
Seriously dude. OMG!

Quick update, I will be making this thread my main "internet build zone". Everyone in our little group has been falling over themselves to help me and you guys are the best a guy could ask for! I mean, I got gas engineers, electronic whizz kids, bastards who have built parts of aircraft....I am not embarrassed to ask you fellas some primitive questions and i know you won't be all lordly and snooty. I have found the "proper" builders site a little unrewarding and a lot of the build blogs to be ego trips...

Count me in too mate if you need any electronics, woodworking or general fabrication. I made this, in case you need a reference:

I made this, in case you need a reference: (Sorry to detract from your thread Luke) Er, WOW Scott - that's one impressive looking axe you're making!! Please do it the justice that it deserves and fit it with some quality machine heads, pickups etc etc etc, the build quality from that photo looks impressive, and deserving of it.

I don't know what the clips are mate but for threadlock I would use the blue Loctite stuff they use on RC models. It smells goooooooood!
Try Autosol polish. It comes in a tube much like toothpaste and you can buy it at most garages (Halfrauds sell it). I use it on all metals and it kicks raw ass. Doesn't get you high like the threadlock does though, sadly.

Right. I have 3 turned ali holoprojectors to fit in the dome. What's an almost-as-good-as-welding fixative. Is ali welding an option?

Hmmm... that would be TIG welding which is pretty specialist. There are places that will do it though. Simms-Leppard in Newport or The Forge in East Cowes to name a couple.
Is the weld/join going to be visable? if not then that 2-pack epoxy 'metal' stuff is good. The stuff which looks like plasticine and you just knead it together.
