Small update today... got the outer skin cut out last night. I'll be forming the cheeks tonight: Ooh and here's how my rifle will look:

I now have a visualisation of how my Mandalorian will look. The gauntlets will be simpler and I'll be wearing longer boots. Other than that it's pretty close. I've tried to 'dirty up' the armour as much as possible.

Just a small update today... Last night I cut out the visor and the cheeks on the inner section. This morning I am bonding the layers together using a flexible acrylic adhesive. Those little clips are 'Rapesco Supaclips' and are meant for holding paper together. Absolutely ideal for keeping glued armour parts in place though. Just open them up with a flat bladed screwdriver, put them in place and the clamp down hard. I wish I'd had them when I built my TK! I have also cut all the cheek parts out from 3mm sintra and formed the mandibles into the correct shape using boiling water. I'm hoping to have these tidied up and bonded in later today.

You bad boy! Are you doing this at work? Just to share some random facts...P38 and the resin can be mixed and the amount of reactor used to adjust setting times. In theory you could work some textures in too. Right, I'm on the pinch here. Can a piece of sintra be bent around a neck without snapping? If yes, C3PO needs a neck...

Looking good there Digby.
Yes, Sintra can.
Just place the material in boiling water first to soften it and then bend away.

I've got some old fruit. I've also got some 8" ribbed black drain pipe stuff which I liberated from work. That might work too.
I have been doing some little bits at work... mostly glue based fun. I got some Shoe Goo yesterday so I'm looking forward to seeing how that works out. I've mostly been taking the bucket out to lunch with me and working on it on the grass.

Not much to report today... just some more sticking & sanding. By the way, Shoe Goo is amazing stuff. I love it! I have just made this though - the detail for the back of my bucket. I figured I would go for something different than the usual key slots: The plastic piece on the left is curved was cut from an old plastic paint pot. The circuit board came from a broken USB memory stick. The frame is Sintra and the black 'mesh' is from the front of an old computer. It's good stuff too - 2mm thick and made of flexible plastic.

Update: I've done some sanding & filling since these pics were taken but you get the idea. Also... I've started on my rifle. I've added an extra barrel and drilled it using the pattern for the E11 barrel. You won't be able to see it in this pic but there is also an inner barrel fitted to this assembly. I will be adding a pump-action slide too. I've shortened the barrel of the L96 sniper rifle buy around 8". I've also made the cut behind the grip as per my original design. In keeping with the rest of my costume, this was made from entirely recycled parts. The Airsoft sniper rifle is a cheap chinese copy which broke a long time ago. The new outer barrel is the support from a set of plastic shelves. The inner barrel was a piece of plastic pipe I found at work and the barrel spacers are from a computer hard drive. The scope is a throw-away item from a cheap airsoft shotgun. It does have an LED crosshair though which is pretty cool.

Found armour temps but not helmet ones atm. Will keep trolling the forums. Was especially interested in the female armour section of Mandalorian Mercs. tempted to go custom female. what you guys think? You got space for a Mrs Fett? hehe played around with that armour looker thingy... not sure pink is my colour tho... ^^ thinkng more along the lines of white and red, but lots seem to have gone that colouring... Just found THIS! This looks absolutly awsome...
